Marietta Junior High School (Staff, 1975 –
1979): Taught middle school history and social studies
courses emphasizing student discovery and analysis, team research projects,
presentation skills development and current affairs. Taught journalism and
served as faculty sponsor of
award-winning student newspaper. Involved with social studies curriculum
update and textbook adoption.

Thomas Eaton Junior High School (Staff, 1970 –
1974): Taught middle school social studies as above with focus on Virginia
heritage, resource management and future outlook. Selected to participate
in Historical Archaeology summer program which included lab/lecture/field work
excavating an 1800's public hospital in Colonial Williamsburg, VA, now restored
as an historical attraction. 1st to introduce the archaeology "inquiry"
program to the Hampton Virginia Studies curriculum. Staff sponsor National
Junior Honor Society.
